When you clone your AbanteCart site and move it to a new domain, the installation ID remains the same unless manually updated. This can cause license conflicts with your AbanteCart Marketplace account, especially for purchased or licensed extensions.
Important: The AbanteCart Marketplace verifies extension licenses using both the domain and installation ID. If they don’t match, you may see license errors or unexpected issues.
After updating the domain in your store settings, follow these steps:
- Clear the AbanteCart cache
Remove any cached data still tied to the old domain. - Reconnect or reconfigure third-party services
Update any services that rely on domain-specific settings or credentials, such as PayPal, Stripe, ElasticSearch, and others. - Release extension licenses (for WHY2 extensions)
