| Important Notes: 1. Make a backup of your current store installation prior to upgrading to v1.4.0. 2. Starting from AbanteCart v1.4.0, Fast Checkout becomes the default checkout. 3. Starting from AbanteCart v1.4.0, the prior v1.4.0 Bootstrap5 template is set as the v1.4.0 default template, and the existing default template is removed. If you want to use the existing prior AbanteCart v1.4.0 default template, you need to clone the default template so you can keep using it. Refer to K.B. here for how to clone the template. 4. If you are using the Bootstrap5 template, you need to rename the html block and reassign the blocks to the layout page. Refer to the KB here. |
There are several ways to upgrade from AbanteCart v1.3.4 to v1.4.0:
A. Via Top Menu Message:
1. Click the message icon.
2. Click the message.
3. Click the link.
4. The abantecart_upgrade_140 is automatically added by cart.
5. Click continue.
6. This is the upgrade note.
7. Click Agree.
8. This is the upgrade history.
B. Via Extension > Install Extension > Network Install
1. Click Extensions.
2. Click Install Extension.
3. Enter abantecart_upgrade_140 in the field.
4. Click continue.
5. This is the upgrade note.
6. Click Agree.
7. This is the upgrade history.
